Hanna Storm replacement found for CBS Morning show

Maggie Rodriguez has been named co-anchor of "The Early Show." She replaces Hannah Storm, who said last week that she plans to leave the CBS breakfastcast.

Rodriguez, who has been an anchor and reporter in Los Angeles and Miami, joined CBS this year as co-anchor of "The Saturday Early Show." She will take over January 7 on "The Early Show."

CBS News said that negotiations with Storm are continuing to find her a new spot at the network.

I can't believe "the powers that be at CBS replaced Hannah STORM with Maggie RODRIGUEZ. Maggie's interviews are unprofessional and curt while Hannah was a breath of fresh air and a great interviewer. We miss you Hannah!

It's difficult for me to understand why the big wigs of CBS can't figure out why their Early Morning Show is a flop and further loosing ground to the other networks morning programs. In my opinion, Hannah made the show. She's always had the ability to keep one's attention and presented the majority of stories generally with at least 'some' knowledge of the subject. On the other hand, Harry is a good ole boy but not very good at interviewing; Julie is the wife of a CBS executive, the only reason she's on the show; Russ is just a plain Stick In The Mud, he's extemely boring. The couple times I've seen Dave since the format change, he appears as though he's just going through the motions. Even the crowd outside has become extremely small and exhibit the, Why am I standing here appearance. From the 5 people that was watching the Early Morning Show, you can take away one more, ME!!!

I was wondering where Hanna had gone. The Early Show was suddenly without her and Maggie Rodriguez was sitting in Hanna's place. Hanna was definitely a breath of fresh air, making the show what it was. Her wonderful down to earth smile, personality, and the way she got along with her interview guests was wonderful! She added so much to the show, giving a great start to each day for those who were watching! The Execs didn't know what they were doing if she was moved due to poor ratings. She's the one they needed, to keep the ratings up.

I was wondering what had happened to Hannah. I was shocked when I found out she was being replaced. I thought they (CBS) had found a winning combo. I was upset when they replaced Mark McQwen. Maybe one day they (CBS) will get it right. I will continue to watch since I have been since the beginning.

Glad to see that whining prissy Hanna Storm gone...
If your a journalist you should be able to do stories
without breaking down....and her overly large mouth
always trying to pose for the camera was sickening.....
... I will agree with another blogger that julie is also a stick
in the mud..... Dave Price and Harry are the only one's I like...... And I will predict a short span for the new
Maggie Rodriguez... You can see her and julie... Don't get along..... and I don't think Dave cares for her either.... I can tell she thinks she's the brown bomb....NOT!!......

No one in their right mind should have ever allowed Hanna to leave the show. She brought the show from a dull roar at best, to a top notch world delight. I loved the fact that she was an average mom, a great reporter with a heart of gold, and truely a precious tenderheart. Get her back fast whatever the cost or else you guys are gonna be the new ground zero.

I miss Hanna Storm on the morning CBS news. We hardly ever watch it anymore. I hope it was her idea to leave and not CBS's. If it was CBS's they made a big mistake. Hanna & Harry were a good combination...Good luck Hanna
